Play ended earlier than planned on day 3 of the 2014 World Series of Poker main event, with only 746 remaining from the 6,683 players that entered. When players return for day 4 they will be only 52 eliminations away from making the money, with the top 693 finishers earning at least $ 18,406. Just outside off the top of the leader board is Dan Smith, who ended the day with 817,000. The WPT winner has nine tournament titles and just under $ 8 million in live earnings under his belt.
